Your Intuition.
Monday, April 28, 2025
Have you ever felt a small nudge, an unexplainable pull, or a quiet whisper within that guides you—but you hesitated, unsure if you should follow it? That, my friend, is your intuition.
It’s not random or coincidental. It is the voice of your higher self. The part of you deeply connected to your soul; —the eternal, divine essence of who you are that exists beyond time and space.
Yet, for many of us, amidst the world’s noise—its rules, its doubts, its demands—have lost touch with this inner voice.
From the moment we are born, we step into a world that celebrates intellect over instinct, logic over feelings and control over surrender. We are taught to trust external evidence over internal wisdom, and gradually, we drift into what some call “the dream of separation"—identifying solely with our human identity or ego, the constructed self, rather than our higher self.
Think of your sense of self as an iceberg. What we know of ourselves—the ego, the mind—is the visible tip above the water. But below the surface is the vast expanse of your higher self, your soul’s infinite depth.
Intuition is the sacred bridge that connects these realms, allowing the wisdom of what lies beneath to rise into your conscious awareness – linking the surface of the ego with the depths of the soul. Unlike the mind, which is influenced by conditioning, intuition flows from this deeper reservoir of knowing.
How to Build a Stronger Connection to Your Intuition
1. Tune Into Your Body
Intuition often speaks through the body before the mind even catches on.
That sense of butterflies in your stomach? The tension in your shoulders? The calm that washes over you after making the right choice? These aren’t just random sensations. They are all subtle nudges from your higher self, divine clues guiding you toward or away from alignment.
Start paying closer attention to these cues. When faced with a decision, close your eyes and ask yourself how it feels in your body. A light, open, or expansive feeling is often your intuition giving you the green light. A heavy or constricting sensation may be urging caution.
2. Listen Beyond Logic
Unlike the rational mind, which deals in logic and reason, your higher self communicates in an entirely different way.
Intuition often works through the subconscious (what’s below the surface), using energy, feelings, synchronicities, dreams, and signs. Pay attention to these cues and clues.
Dreams that linger. Numbers that repeat. Songs that play at just the right moment. A serendipitous encounter. A gentle tug in your heart. A gut feeling. These aren’t coincidences. These are breadcrumbs from your higher self, lighting the way towards alignment.
Reflect on these moments, without overanalysing or needing to understand them fully; trust they happened for a reason.
3. Create Time and Space for Stillness
We live in an age of constant noise—both external and internal. Yet, intuition is felt most clearly in the spaces in between, in stillness.
The constant demands and stress of today’s world - tight schedules, endless notifications, and the fast pace of modern life— can overwhelm us and disconnect us from our inner selves, making it hard to hear your inner voice.
How often do you allow yourself to pause and truly listen?
Practices like meditation, breathwork, mindfulness, or simply being present in nature draw us inward, away from the chaos and grant us permission to simply be.
See these intentional moments as more than healthy breaks, but as invitations—to stop and notice, to feel rather than think, to sense rather than solve. This is the gift of stillness. It allows what is hidden within you to rise to the surface.
What might you hear when you make the time to tune in, just beyond the static?
The answers are already there, waiting for you in the quiet.
Stillness isn’t empty. It’s full of possibilities.
4. Deepen Your Self-Connection
Strengthening your intuition is much like nurturing a new relationship. Trust isn’t built overnight; it grows through time, patience, and consistent effort. The more you connect with your higher self, the deeper your relationship with your intuition will grow.
Practices like journaling, self-reflection, or asking soul-stirring questions can bridge the gap between you and your higher self. Start by exploring questions such as:
Who am I beyond the roles I play and the masks I wear?
What does my heart truly yearn for when I allow myself to dream without limits?
Spiritual tools such as oracle cards and other divination tools can serve as powerful mirrors, expanding your self-awareness and shining a light on your path forward.
When was the last time you truly met yourself? When you paused long enough to reconnect with your own light? Your own truth?
What might that self be ready to share with you now?
5. Start Small and Build Trust.
Trusting your intuition begins with a leap of faith. It requires the courage to set aside the constant need for certainty and, instead, step into the unknown.
Intuition rarely provides a detailed roadmap with all the answers. Even if we think we want that, our minds may not fully comprehend or be ready for those answers and having the full map may rob us of opportunities to grow, learn and evolve.
Instead, learning to trust your intuition is like venturing into uncharted territory guided by a faint light—a light that reveals only the next step, not the entire path.
For example, a person might feel the need to improve their health and seek inner guidance on how to make changes. They may be open to insights about eating better or exercising, but resist acknowledging that their constant overworking or lack of boundaries is taking a toll on their well-being.
How would your higher self guide you in this situation? Would the guidance come as a quiet nudge or as an undeniable wake-up call? What approach would help you uncover deeper truths and gain a fresh perspective? There is no right or wrong answer here. Your intuition will always guide you with the best ‘step’ at the time, even when it doesn’t seem logical or ‘relevant’ to your ego.
Learning to trust your intuition means letting go of the need to fully understand the “whys” and “hows” and, instead trust in a bigger picture and an unseen intelligence quietly working behind the scenes.
Building intuition is like strengthening a muscle—it grows with practice. Start small by responding to subtle nudges in daily life. Practice with simple decisions like, "What feels better—coffee or tea?" Notice how your intuition ‘speaks’ up without hesitation. If you feel prompted to take a different route home, try something new, or reach out to someone who comes to mind, follow those instincts.
Each time you act on these intuitive prompts, you strengthen your trust—not just in your intuition but in the larger plan unfolding beyond what your mind can grasp.
